Start-Up Northumberland was founded by Annie McCaughey and Jade Calver, lifelong residents of the county who believe strongly in growing the area in a positive way and by helping newcomers to the area become members of their new community.
What sets Start-Up Northumberland apart is Jade and Annie's ability to do far more than to file applications. They possess over 15 years experience in business and Canadian immigration.
Together, they will guide you in taking the necessary steps to secure your business space and permanent residency in a county that is in proximity of major city centres, is on the 401 Highway corridor with available industrial land and is near the Canada/ USA border.

Annie McCaughey
Partner, RCIC
Annie McCaughey specializes in Canadian business immigration, Work Permits, Labour Market Impact Assessments and Permanent Residency through business. She has 20 years experience as an entrepreneur in Canada and a passion for business immigration.
PRACTICE EXPERIENCE
Annie McCaughey got her start in Canadian immigration in 2017 and is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant. In addition to her work with Start-up Northumberland, she has her own practice, Immigration Station Canada, based out of Cobourg, Ontario.
Annie is an experienced, dedicated professional with a love for making personal connections and solving problems. She has a vast experience in business and is able to assist clients to develop and begin their own businesses in Canada with the end goal of achieving permanent residence status.

Jade Calver
Partner, RCIC
Jade Calver specializes in Canadian business immigration and residency by investment. She has many years of experience in Canadian economic and business immigration for clients from around the globe. Her clients include large international businesses as well as small start-ups who she has helped to successfully navigate the Canadian Immigration process.
PRACTICE EXPERIENCE
Jade Calver is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant in addition to her work with Start-up Northumberland, she has owned and operated her own practice Calver& Associates since 2015. Prior to this, Jade worked with one of the country’s leading Immigration law firms. She also has significant experience working with Immigration Canada and the Immigration and Refugee Board.
Jade has traveled extensively in the Caribbean, Europe, and Middle East. She has a broad experience on a wide range of transactions for private clients.
